2019 Little Baja is still CLOSED

New Access Launches Available

Due to construction, Little Baja is not available to us this year; however, RVWA SIKO created a new kite launch in addition to the windsurf launch at The Access.  The kite launch is approximately 100' downwind (up river) of the historic windsurfing launch. A larger porta potty has been installed at The Access to serve as a changing room in addition to the other units.

The road and parking to The Access has also changed to accommodate construction.  Stay on the main road all the way to the windsurfing launch and then turn left towards the marina.  Shortly after that turn, take another left turn on a road that goes down to the toe of the levee. That general area is the parking lot.

Please avoid and respect all construction sites- if we are a nuisance then the State will simply disallow our use outside of the County Park.  Do we all want to be jammed in Sherman Island Park? Umm, No.

If you need to make an emergency water exit we ask that you use The Access launches or go down to The Sign. Areas in-between are in the construction zone and are off-limits. We recognize this could be a haul but to avoid the dangers of the construction site this is a must.

RVWA SIKO is negotiating with the State to secure a larger and enhanced Little Baja kite launch after construction.  Please don't mess up this opportunity by not following the rules- they're for everyone's safety.
